Destiny Hightower '21 Recruiting Profile

Hey Coaches , I just wanted to put a disclaimer that like all people and/or athletes, I’ve made some mistakes that i regret dearly in the past, in and outside of highschool . I know that I haven’t been the best i can be but i can promise you that if you give me an opportunity at a higher level i WILL NOT be a waste and you or me won’t regret it. 

Basketball has always been in my life even before i picked up a ball, my mom played and was a GREAT player. I chose to go to calhoun because the school is known for basketball and i felt that it would be a great chance for me to get noticed and better my game, which I’ve done in the past years. I first picked up a basketball heading into my 6th grade year in middle school, my mom watched me and told me not to even try out for basketball that year because i was so suck. From then on I had the mindset that i WILL be great and better than my mom ever played. I started training myself, watching my brothers play, watching high school games and i ended up making the team. From then I knew that my life had changed from me just being a girl to now being a basketball player. I wished over a hundred times to make it to the WNBA and till this day I haven’t lost hope.

Within the years I’ve been playing, I’ve received MULTIPLE awards and trophies. Ranging from MVP, Most Improved, Offensive Player of the Year, First Team All Region, News Reports, Etc. I’ve lead my team in scoring on multiple occasions , sometimes hitting clutch shots. I’ve never went a year in my life without doing something in the athletic compartment.

I don’t want to be just any student who completes high school and then go on with their life . I want to be the person that goes to college on a scholarship and live out my dream as a athlete. With your help I can do that, thanks for taking the time of your day to read this.
