2022 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My goal is to play college basketball while gaining a great education. I am passionate about both basketball and school, and I am driven to succeed in everything I do. My entire family is competitive, but I’ve been told that sometimes I might be “too competitive” even though I’m not sure that’s possible. Whether we’re playing a board game after dinner or a pick-up basketball game in the driveway I won’t quit until I win.
I have been playing basketball for as long as I can remember, and the thing I love most about it is that I get to step on the court and compete in something I love. One of my greatest strengths, so I have been told, is that I am very coachable. Leading my team on and off the court is something I strive to do every day.
I also feel that my commitment to playing multiple sports makes me different from a lot of other recruits. My experience with both High School and club teams for Basketball, Swimming and Volleyball demonstrates that I want to compete against the best in whatever I pursue. Basketball and other athletics have always been a major part of my life and I am excited about the opportunity to take my athletic career to the next level.
