I have been involved in a variety of sports (Gymnastics, Taekwondo, Basketball, Soccer, Softball, Track and Volleyball) since the age of 4 years old. While participating in various sports, I have always managed to remain a honor student academically.
I am currently enrolled at Etowah High School which is located in Woodstock, Georgia. I recently completed my freshman year with a 4.0 GPA. While ensuring that my academics remained surperb, I also participated on the JV basketball team. At the basketball banquet, I received an academic award for excellence. I participate in other school sports such as volleyball and track. This will be my 1st season on the Etowah volleyball team and I am expecting good results and up for the challenge. My first year participating in track and field, I made it to nationals finishing 13th of 52 (Shot Put) and 14th out of 46 (Discus). I give my all in everything I do and remain fully committed.
Even though I am only 5'3" my heart, knowledge, and soul helps me excel in everything I do. I am highly respected by my coaches and teammates for my ability to dribble, court vision, rebounding, passing, and strength/power to attack the goal using my left or right hand. This summer traveling competing against some of the nations top female basketball athletes, I was able to develop a mid range and master the 3 point shot, which enables me to be diverse.
I have plans to be a Forensic Scientist and seeking a university that best fits me academically. I would love to use my athletic ability in basketball, volleyball and/or track to assist me with a scholarship to offset any tuition expenses.
In closing, if you feel your university would be a good fit for me, I would like to hear from you and discuss how we may become a successful team.
Thanks,
Emani K. Smart
