Personal Statement
Back to back state championship games have been the driving force in what motivates me to be a better player. Being a three sport athlete, I sacrificed time at the beach, hanging out with friends, in order for me to be the player I am today. This sacrifice has led me to be a starting varsity player throughout my entire high school career. Although covid-19 took away sophomore season, both my freshman and junior years, we claimed our league championships, and placed runner up in the state finals. The hardship of losing at that stage is what drives me to overcome adversity.
Basketball has always been an important aspect in my life, not just for me, but for my ohana (family) as well. In my younger years, growing up as a coaches daughter, hard work, leadership, sacrifice, and perseverance are qualities that I’ve learned from a young age. From the age of ten, I’ve traveled and played competitively at the high school division. This has shaped me to be versatile, and playing all five positions. I am confident that with my versatility, and love for the game that I will be a great asset to your program .
