Personal Statement
My name is Kyriah James and I am an upcoming Sophomore . I currently play basketball for my high school and during off-season play club.
During my off-season of high school basketball, I continue to play club ball and participate in trainings. Basketball is not just a sport, but it also teaches you life skills that requires you to be physically and mentally prepared to take up any challenges!
As for me knowing things can come before me, but my abilites is knowing to accept the challenges and become flexible. This means everyone including myself, the contribution you offer plays a vital role, whether it is on or off the courts. Contribution includes being able to work together, taking that step to be a leader and knowing how to be a problem solvers!
How I present myself as a person, I am a person who is continually learning each day to become a better person. An important aspect that I learned about life and in basketball is communication. Do not be afraid to ask question’s for clarifications. Secondly, Motivation and positive encouragement is the key to great sportsmanship. As a team player, as much as I/we like winning or getting the results I/we want , to me … the value of working your hardest, and giving it your all and a value you can carry on as a legacy. This means the effort you have provided has left a mark not only to your audience, coaches, teammates, family, but it left a mark in your life own life!
Therefore, when I reflect on myself, I reflect on the person I was yesterday and how I can become a better person today, tomorrow and in the future. That is I am willing to take on any challenges in life, that will help me progress and become a better person inside and out!
My goals is to learn new things every day by making a difference on and off the basketball court as well as achieving academically!
I look forward to meeting with coaches and see where my future will take me!
