Personal Statement

I have started playing basketball at a young age and now it has become an important part of my life. I have always wanted to play basketball at the collegiate level. I was selected as the Junior High School Athlete of the Year for three years straight. Basketball and volleyball are my two major sports, but I continue to pursue basketball at a higher level.

I am looking forward to playing basketball in college. I have great ball handling and rebound skills. I also enjoy playing power forward and the center position. I am a team leader and my teammate’s lookup to me for words of encouragement and motivation.

During my earlier years, I played on the local YMCA and Youth AAU Basketball Teams. I have played against AAU 15 and High School Girls Division teams within the last two years. I am very coachable and willing to work hard to improve my skills and also those of my teammates. I want to be the best basketball player I can be and to learn from experience players and coaches while achieving this goal. I will work hard to sharpen my skills in order to increase my opportunity for obtaining a basketball college scholarship. Earlier high school full games are also located on the Hudl website.
