Cassidy Kretschmer '21 Recruiting Profile

I would love to play basketball on the collegiate level. I have loved the game as far back as I can remember. The way it makes me feel really is something nothing else has given me. The determination, competition, and leadership I have now comes greatly from playing basketball for so long. I owe a lot of my progress to my coaches, trainers, and my parents for always pushing me to be better than I am.  

I am a very versatile player. I was a post most of my life, but I've always been one of the quickest on the floor. In high school I began, and am continuing, to work on my outside game, ball-handling, and shooting. I have guarded centers and point guards in the same game, as well as broke a press and went to work in the paint. Outside of my basketball skills, I feel like I add something special to any team I'm on. I try to be a positive and energetic source for my teammates to feed off of. I am not afraid to be myself and embrace who I am as a person. That being said I know when to kick into serious mode, work hard, and play tough. 

By playing at a college level what I'm really looking for is a great team and coaching staff where we all support each other and want to succeed. If we all push each other to do better everyday then positive results will show. I am so excited for this long-time dream of mine to become a reality, and I can only hope for the best.
