My name is DonYeil Bolton, and I am a student at Kenwood Academy in Chicago, Illinois. I have a solid resolution to major in Business Administration while playing basketball in college and I am determined to exert every effort to achieve my goal. Besides being fascinated with basketball, I have an intention to continue my career with the WNBA, I am looking forward to all the training and enhancements that I recognize are essential to becoming successful.
In my opinion, achieving any goal mostly depends on one's desire. I adhere to this principle since I am interested in proceeding with my education and other careers. Besides having a GPA greater than 3.0, I attend a few honors classes to refine my academic knowledge and obtain more practical and necessary information. Moreover, I have been playing basketball since the eighth grade and perfecting my skills constantly. I am often compared to Candace Parker, whose champion experience I aspire to have. Being a powerful, well-educated, and independent woman will assist me in pursuing my interests and dreams.
As for my background, I have grown up in a family involved in the health care industry. Since my father is a master in IT / computer science, he works as an instructor for Prairie State College and as an IT manager for a major health care firm. My mother is a registered nurse and is currently in school to obtain a master's degree and is going to pursue a doctorate afterward. I am the third child in the family where my two siblings are currently studying at college. My family has always striven to help other people most efficiently.
During the latest years of studying, I have been displaying determination, persistence, and willingness to gain new knowledge. I have learned the art of not giving up even though circumstances may be unfavorable and potential obstacles might emerge out of nowhere. I am prepared for the fact that it is impossible to predict every outcome. Therefore, I am capable of taking measures during the process and not afraid of altering directions. Also, I constantly analyze my mistakes and ponder better deliberate solutions to issues I encounter in every sphere of my life. Despite preferring a thoughtful approach, it is essential for me to venture since I believe it may bring a vast benefit eventually. Furthermore, I have significantly developed my social skills, commenced being more compassionate, and better comprehend other people's behavior and reactions. In general, I suppose my actions and way of thinking have become mature, developed, and more effective.
There are a couple of reasons why I desire to obtain a major's degree in Business Administration and a scholarship and continue my career in sport. Firstly, it will allow me to become confident in the business field and get a profession that corresponds to my goals and skills. Secondly, further education will help me grow my potential and perfect my expertise after every milestone. Thirdly, obtaining a degree will facilitate my path to success and be evidence of hard work, contribution, and dedication. Additionally, participation in sports competitions will allow me to be a proud representative of a national team and defend the status with dignity.
It is necessary to indicate that the scholarship will bring a huge benefit to my further education and career. I am very determined and aware of taking advantage of this possibility and turning a dream into an attainable goal. In the long run, it will help me push the boundaries and significantly broaden my knowledge, which I intend to utilize practically during my career.
