Personal Statement
Basketball has been my passion ever since I can remember. I was able to exhibit that passion in May of 2014 when I was invited to the U17 USA National Team Trials at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs. There, I competed along with 145 other girls from throughout the country. This was the greatest experience I have had, being given the opportunity to compete with the top talent in the country. But this was more than just a tryout, it was also a learning experience I will never forget. I learned the importance of teamwork, leadership, attitude, and health. I continue to incorporate what I have learned into my daily workouts so that it becomes a natural part of my game. I also incorporate these lessons in my life, as it helps me to become a better person.
