Ali Ward '25 Recruiting Profile

I have always held myself to a standard of growth. I want to be able to physically, and mentally see my improvement in everything I do. I love a good challenge, and I was given one this year in volleyball, basketball, and softball to start as a freshman on varsity. Once I know what I want, I set my mind on it until I achieve it. I pride myself in doing the little things. Making my bed each morning, getting shots up before school, winning every sprint, and working out in my free time are small things I do to set myself apart. Academics have always been first to me, and I know they’re the most important part of striving at the next level.  I understand the importance of school, and that is why it is my main priority. I have been raised by a division 1 athlete who has helped guide me on my athletic journey, and also my amazing mom who makes sure I keep my morals true. They have given me the tools and opportunities to do what I want, and I know it’s my job to make my dreams a reality. As a leader I plan to lead by example each day by challenging myself and those around me. Each day I compete with myself from the day before, and that is how I will continue to improve on my basketball and personal journey.
