My first ever experience with a basketball was on Christmas day as a 3 year old. My older 7 year old brother received a gift that was a basketball. On the otherhand I recieved a babydoll but once I seen my brother's gift I cried like a baby. I wanted the basketball instead of the babydoll. From that point on, my parents knew that basketball was something special to me.
Once I entered my third grade year in elementary school, I was eligible to play for my school. I went to tryouts with a huge smile on my face and was determined to make the team. I made the team and from that point on basketball was my hobby. My fifth grade year till my eight grade year, my team went undefeated, never lost a game. Those were the greatest years of my life.
I went to a gifted and talented school where grades were the number 1 priority. I maintained straight A's during my elementary and middle school years.
I now attend Westside high school, I am a 3 year starter on the varsity team, I average 10.4 points per game.
I would like to attend a college and major in my study of field which is criminal justice. I am a hard worker, I take practice as if it was a game, I am humble, and I believe that there is NOT an "I" in team. I love to get my teammates involved as much as I can. I believe that as long as your good on the defensive end, offensively your points will come. I also play softball as an alternative sport. Academically, I understand that I am a student athletic, which means grades come first. What makes me different is that its not all about scoring, its about the whole aspect in contributing in your team to get the win.
