I'm Akila Holland and I really enjoy playing basketball. I start playing basketball around the age of 10 for a cross gender team. I played basketball inconsistently until middle school where I learned how to play better and built a strong relationship with my coach, Coach Anawar. Middle school and practicing during the summer helped me prepare for the high school season at IPS Arlington High School where I started Varsity as a freshman. I started Varsity as a freshman due to my hard work and good defense. I haven't yet grown offensively but I am certainly an offensive threat on the basketball court by creating shots for my teammates. I plan to grow more as a player in the rest of my high school years and I plan to get a full ride scholarship to any college that will have me.
