Personal Statement
I've always grown up admiring basketball. Since I first started playing basketball in 6th grade I remember telling my parents how much I wanted to play in college. I've put in hard work and dedication every summer since my freshman year. I didn't have an off-season, I went straight into travel basketball and I still practiced every day. I have never gotten tired of it either, I enjoy going to the Y, practice, games, and everything about basketball!
Something I think that makes me different from other recruits is I will never accept losing a game until the end of the fourth quarter's buzzer rings. I will always push to be the best that I can be and I will not push just myself, I will push my team to reach the potential I know that they can reach too. I believe in practicing as hard as I can and as much as I can. I'll go as hard as I possibly can the whole time I'm in! The only time I'll stop is when I'm on the bench. Also, I truly love this sport more than anything else. I enjoy spending my time practicing basketball and making myself better.
Not only have I focused hard on basketball I have put a lot of time and dedication into my academics. I used to not be good with school, it was very hard for me to understand. I wasn't a terrible student, I was just average. So since the very beginning I have studied every night and really focused on all of my classes and I have done tremendously better. Academics mean a lot to me and I'm going to work just as hard on them as I do anything else.
