Personal Statement
I love basketball. I have been playing since I was 5 years old. I am a freshman at Calumet College of St. Joseph where I was recruited to play basketball. However, two weeks before the season started, a coaching change was made. I am now facing a year of disappointment, confusion and frustration, which was not what I thought would be in store my first year of college.
My dream has always been to play in the WNBA since I was little. I feel now that I will not obtain this with the situation I am currently in at Calumet College. I am looking to transfer to a new college and feel I would be a good candidate for a team because I bring energy to the game. I also try my best to keep my teammates heads held high when things aren't going our way. I stay positive at all times because if I'm not then the team breaks down. I am a player that is coachable. I will listen to what you have to say and when you are running a play I make sure the play is ran correctly. I am so passionate for this game, I absolutely love it. When coming into the classroom I work as hard as I can. If I don't understand something I make sure that I go to my instructor to get a little more clarification. I'm not afraid to ask questions in front of the class. I go above and beyond when it comes to participating in anything the instructor wants us to do in his/hers class. I am positive in classroom as well as on the court.
