Personal Statement
When I was a young age, I aspired to be just like the collegiate athletes that I had watched so many times on television. I wanted to not only further my education and pursue my career, but I wanted to represent my family, friends, school, etc. on the collegiate stage. I was fortunate enough to have the ability to play basketball, which is a blessing that many kids don't receive, and I want to continue using the talent on the next level of play.
Leadership is something a basketball team can not go without if it wants to be successful, and my leadership skills are excellent. I am a vocal leader on the basketball floor, and I am also not afraid to communicate with my coaches and teammates about situations I see developing on the floor. I'm a talented shooter, I can handle the basketball well, and I play lock-down defense. My basketball IQ is high, and I excel in the classroom.
