Personal Statement

I am an athlete who is aggressive, hardworking and confident on the court and the reason you want me as part of your team is to get those aggressive rebounds and strong drives. I am someone’s who strives for nothing but the best which is why I would prefer to enter a university where I will have to work so hard to build my way up in the team from a freshman to someone with more minutes on the court. I am a very interactive person ,and therefore academically would prefer an establishment with allows a lot of interaction during lectures in Pre-physical therapy but also sports related wise I like to get feedback from the coach to tell me what I did right and wrong as well as personally review myself. This review process has brought success to our team which is currently standing 13-1 in a division 2 national league and are currently the national trophy winners also.

Events

  • Camp/Event
  • NBC BASKETBALL CAMP
  • 7/13/14 to 7/18/14
  • We went with the NBC camp from the UK but had to attend an all boys camp for these two weeks as the majority of people who travelled with us were boys. It was a good challenge to test myself to see what i would be like compared to american players as i had never been before, while also helping me to push myself more by ignoring my gender an trying my best to keep up if not beat the boys. It taught me to how to be aggressive without silly fouls which was something i had been struggling from a lot, whilst also helping me stay close to God and teaching me how to have a positive mental attitude. It not only challeneged me physically but also mentally, especially for mentall we had to complete what they call the golden rule challenge which includes dozens of essays every night on the events that we take part in and also a test at the end. With that i am happy to say I achieved it and i got a very high percentage of 95% out of 100%, making me one of the top competitors of the class. I also had the chance to meet professional players such as ex player for Gonzanga college Will Foster and got to hear his opinion on what he did to get where he is now and how to succeed when the times get difficult.
