Personal Statement
My name is Natalie Keane. I’m 17 years old and currently in year 12 my Senior year at Siena Girls College Melbourne Australia. My education means a lot to me and I strive for excellence in every assessment I complete. Due to this, I have a high standard of achievement that I have set for myself academically which I work hard to successfully meet by putting in a lot of hard work, long hours and persistence. I hope to one-day study Criminal Justice at university.
Along with my academics comes my real passion, basketball. I’ve played basketball since I was 5 years old and started playing rep basketball when I was 9 making me bottom, bottom age under 12s. I have worked hard throughout my past 7 years to develop the fundamental skills of basketball that have made me the primary ballhandler in my team and one of the best point guards in my club. I am also a very strong shooting guard making me a valuable player to my team. I’m a great team player always being positive and encouraging everyone to play their best. I put a lot of hours into basketball, training 7 hours a week and playing 4 games a week to continue to improve my game and continue to develop my skills to become the best player I can possibly be. Basketball is like a second home to me; I love every second I am on the court playing and have a basketball in my hands. Playing basketball in college has always been something I’ve dreamt about and my biggest goal in life. I hope to be able to have the opportunity to fulfil this goal and make a dream of mine come true in the future.
