Personal Statement
I am a talented basketballer and a diligent student. I have a great work ethic and this comes across in both these areas of my life. I have worked very hard on my 'ball skills over the last few years with rewards coming in the form of State representation at National level in u20 (2020,2021). In these last two years I have played State Senior Womens Cup, representing Launceston Lightening. My coaches would agree that my 'hussle' in defence, outside shooting, ability to see and lay passes and my capacity to run the plays are my significant strengths. Whilst I am a small player I have a great intensity (and quick) and willingness for the contest.
As a student I demonstrate the same qualities - robustness, willingness, looking for the best result, diligent and considered. I have a flair for English writing, love psychology-based subjects and enjoy Exercise Science type subjects. I am unsure of my major as yet - maybe Justice, Exercise Science?
As a person I believe others would say that I am considerate of others, have great empathy, am looking for win/wins, am 'low maintenance' in terms of how I let things effect me and am honest, courageous and have a great sense of justice and well-developed 'moral compass'. I love to have fun and have a great sense of humour. I am a good friend, help others and have a community-mindedness that supports a 'a glass half full mentality'.
