Personal Statement
I have been playing basketball since I was in 6 years old. Since I started playing, I fell in love with this sport and realized that I wanted to play my whole life. Playing in Canada may be a lifelong and unique opportunity to pursue my dreams.
I have strong footwork and good post movements. I consider myself a committed and hard working person. I always have a positive mindset and always work hard inside and outside the court. I like to encourage my teammates on every practice and every game. I also love to try new things and learn from my mistakes every day.
In school I am a dedicated student, always with the motivation of being better everyday and having better grades by maintaining a high GPA. I have been in the Global Issues Network club since I was in middle school. I love to be involved in school activities and I always try to be activist.
I want to attend college where I can continue to develop both basketball and academic aspects. My main goal is to do what makes me happy. I want to be successful in basketball and in life.
I have played in several teams through my life, I have played mainly on my high school team which Is Colegio Americano De Torreon, where I have learned some of my current skills. I was also part of the selection of Lerdo Durango, and Durango City. In 2019 I played on The "Olimpiada Nacional" representing the state of Durango. Also, last Christmas I was selected to play on an international tournament on Spain representing Mexico. On January I studied at IMG Academy in Florida.
