I am currently going into my junior year of high school. I am a christian and my faith is a very big part of who I am. I have had the opportunity of being an intern at my church this past year and it has made me a better leader and has made my faith stronger. I have played on our varsity basketball team since I was in eighth grade. We have had 2 different coaches since then and it has been difficult to adjust to the different styles of coaching, but through this I have learned how to step up as a leader and how to be apart of a team. I have not only felt I have grown as a point guard and shooting guard but I have also grown as a student. I have had the privilege of being apart of a school who's focus is on academics. Being able to balance school an basketball has really helped my learn how to manage my time and prioritize what's really important.
This past season I have had the opportunity of being apart of a really strong team. This up coming season will be difficult, seeing is that we have no seniors on our team, but this will give me the opportunity to focus on becoming a stronger leader and becoming a strong point guard and shooting guard. I am looking for a school that will fit what I am looking for academically and athletically. I feel as I have the talent to play in college, but I also have the work-ethic and leadership skills to better my team. As just a junior, I feel that I know what it takes to be successful on your team but also in the classroom.
