My name is Karlee Teddlie and I attend Montgomery High School in Louisiana. I will graduate in May 2016. Even though my dream has always been to play college basketball, I know my academics comes first. I currently have a 4.0 grade point average and strive for excellence. I want to major in Fitness and Recreation so it is important that the college that I choose offers this degree program.
What makes me a good candidate? First of all, I am a very dedicated student-athlete and I am willing to work hard individually and for my team. I have a true love and passion for the game and I will do whatever it takes to help the team win. I have high expectations on and off the court. I compete in the classroom as well as on the court. I push myself to high levels of achievement and I do not like to settle for less.
On and off the court, I strive to be a leader. I lead by example by being on time to practice, being a hard-worker, and being dedicated to my academics as well as basketball. I am a person of integrity and have high morals and values.
I feel like I am different from other recruits in many different aspects. First and foremost, my academics is extremely important to me. I want to succeed in the classroom and in my career. Secondly, I know that you have to work hard to reach your goals. Because there is so much to learn about the game, I attended camps such as Point Guard College and Point Guard College Shooting Camps. I also put in numerous hours at the gym on my own time. I work every day in the gym after the season is over to become better. I am always on time and prepared for practice and games. When practice is over, I stay late to shoot. Basketball is my passion and I will do whatever it takes for the team to win.
