Soleil Kennedy '23 Recruiting Profile

I began playing basketball at the age of 6. I played at local community centers during elementary school and my middle school for 3 years. I led my middle school team to the Citywide championship game two years in a row. We won both years. As a junior, I started as a wing player and I led the conference in 3-pt field goals and 3-pt field goal percent. I was tenacious on defense with the ability to check every player at all positions. (1-5)

I have courage to play against any team, any player at any time. I am not afraid. I love to  compete. I mostly play the wing position (2-3) but I can play the stretch 4 position or help to break the press by bringing the ball up. Rebounding is my passion and I will get the tough boards. I can shoot the 3 from anywhere on the court. I averaged 16pts and 8 rebounds per game on my AAU team. I’ve been on the varsity basketball team in high school all four years. I was named rookie player of the year 2019. 

I have played the elite AAU circuit for two years which includes Run-For-The-Roses and EB40 National Tournaments. I’ve served as a team leader. I own my losses and champion our wins. I’m coachable and I have a willingness to learn and contribute in any environment.

I’m known for my resilience, confidence, grit, bravery, courage, toughness and a winning attitude. I live my life being limitless and compassionate both with humility. I believe these traits make me the person who I am, and it has prepared me for this moment as I enter college.
