Personal Statement
Hi my name is Bethany Trybus and I am a 5’ 10” Senior at Palmer High School in Palmer, MA. I love to hang out and spend time with my friends and family. In the summer one of my favorite things to do is go to the beach . I am an A and B student which helped me to become a member of the National Honor Society. I work hard and always try to do my best in anything I do. In the classroom, at work or on the court. I am fully committed.
I play varsity basketball. Basketball is a game that I love and work very hard at. I have been playing basketball since the sixth grade on both Suburban and on AAU teams. I spend just about all of the year playing basketball and trying to improve my game. That has helped me so much to prepare for my High School basketball seasons. I play AAU, Summer league, tournaments and attend basketball skills camps to improve my game. I am very good at post moves and mid-range jumpers. On the court I show how I hustle, rebound and how to be both an offensive and defensive player. I play physical in the 5/4 and am not afraid of contact. I am a hard worker and give my team members encouragement and leadership. I always strive to be better, help others be better and give 100% every practice and game. As a Sophomore Varsity Basketball Player, I was the second leading scorer on the team.
I would love to play basketball at a college level that offers Criminal Justice. I am very open to any college that is interested in me. In the future I hope to become a K9 Police Officer. Playing basketball is what I am striving for in my college years in addition to a good education. If I had my choice I would love to play with a team that is fully committed. A team full of players that want to be there and will not give up at the sight of a challenge or when we fall behind in a game. A team that is more than a team, but a family, who were brought together by the love of a game and will always have each others backs.
