Hello,
My name is Emmalee Wolfe-Plain aka (Emma) I am the youngest of 6 athletic kids who pushed me to where I am today!
My transition from 8th grade to freshman year was the most challenging one for me. I was not only starting freshman year, but my Mom and I moved from Wisconsin where I had played basketball since I was in 3rd grade for a travel team, but the pandemic had also stopped me from joining a team in person or even being able to go to school to meet people and take my classes.
I had to take all of my classes at home on the computer and try to understand how things were done in my knew school, with new teachers. My basketball season did not go the way that I had hoped, but I did adapt to what we were given, even though I had to adapt to play with a mask on the whole game.
During this time I learned I could do whatever someone had asked me to do and be successful at it, because I made it my goal to be successful and to never let a challenge stop me from being me!
Though it was hard to learn through a computer from someone I didn't know, I still did it! I'm proud of where I am right now because I saw the challenge, I accepted and I defeated it.
I am graduating in June of 2024, and I will be attending college as a student first and a basketball players second. I have set my goal of being a college ball player high, but my educational goals even high.
My goal is to be an educator who will teach children how to use their personal abilities to overcome their challenges and reach their goals.
My greatest strength is having court awareness and knowing what to do to get my teammates or myself in a position to score.
