I have been playing basketball ever since I was six years old. All throughout my basketball career, I always worked hard and dedicated myself to be better than the person next to me. Being a high school senior now, I never had the privilege to get the AAU exposure. My dream is to play basketball at the highest collegiate level that I can at a strong academic institution. I am very dedicated and work very hard at everything I get involved in; academics and athletics are two very good examples where I will do whatever it takes to improve. I love to compete and try to combine my strong physical attributes with mental toughness to give me an edge. I believe I am a good leader and lead by example by working harder than anyone else; also I exercise my leadership through my accomplishments of being team captain and getting my team focused for any game that is coming up. I am a very coachable player and is willing to do whatever it takes to make everyone around me better. I may not be the strongest, fastest, or just the most athletic player on a team, but I will show people how much heart I have on and off the court. As a honor student in high school, my goal is to maintain that honors mentality into college and balance my academics with my athletic life.
