Personal Statement

The first thing I think you shoud know about me is that I am in the 9th grade. I go to Mt.Clemens Middle and Highschool in Michigan. I play for the high school girls varsity basketball team. I play point guard and a little bit of shooting guard if needed. I don't start, but I do get a decent amount of play time. I think that what would make me a good candidate for your team is that I practice every day I can and I am willing to be coached. I also study players such as Sue Bird, Diana Taurasi, Mya Moore, Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Issah Thomas (Pistons) just to name a few. And have a real passion for the game of basketball all together. I think I am different from other recruits in character because I am told I am a good person to be around. I know how to make ANYONE laugh and I don't brag about my acomplishments. What also makes me different from other recruits character wise is that I am in many after school clubs and do some community service. I am in the 4-H Tech Wizards club hosted at my school and I'm also in a tutoring program after school where you can get help on your work and it is also a quite place to study. I have helped do food drives at my school that are run by Gleners and have also gone to the Gleaners factory place to pack and unpack food such as frozen macaroni, which is when I got put in a box to help unload...not my proudest moment. This coming Summer I will be volunteering at Clinton Township Recreation to be a volunteer at a summer camp at Ottawa Elementary. Academics were a struggle for me before I started on the basketball team. That is when I got serious and knew what need to be done. I had to tell my friends that I had goals to reach and that I can't reach them if I'm sitting here talking to you in Math Calss. My last report card was all A's and one B-. I was very proud of myself and so were my parents. Athletics wise I am a good 3-point shooter and can also put the ball on the floor. I am not afraid to go up for a rebound or to try and block a shot. I am normaly one of the smallest ones on the court but that helps me run a bit faster and have quicker hands and feet. My defence is ok. It needs some work here and there but for the most part it is fine. i am shooting a 75% from the free trow line which is pretty good. My goals for the future are to

  • Graduate Highschool
  • Hopefuly Get Some Type of Scholarship
  • I Want to Play for UConn but any College That Accepts me is Fine
  • Play for the Phoenix Mercury
  • Play in a Allstar Game

That is all I have to say. Thanks for reading this and please look further into my profile

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
