My collegiate goal is to attend a college that challenges me mentally and prepares me socially and cognitively. Another thing that I'm interested in is a college with a highly competitive sporting program. I am a leader among my friends. I am versatile and can play a variety of positions. I am a key segment of any team and quick to pick up new abilities. I come from a big family and am the only girl out of five boys. As a little girl I started off with dance and cheerleading. As time has went on I continue to cheer and also run track. However, basketball is in my blood. From backyard games with my brothers and family to putting the hoop at the end of the driveway, I was always in the game competing with the boys and even taking them down sometimes. My long term aspiration is to become a nurse and have a stable career after basketball. I have watched my Mother in her career and have heard her stories. I see how rewarding nursing can be and aspire to be just like her. I've always been the one to jump right in and help others. I also love children and that's why I believe that pediatric or obstetric nursing is for me. My Mother has been my role model and an inspiration. Due to the pandemic we lost a lot, individually and as a country. I lost a whole year of school and sports. I lost my Grandfather. I had to watch my Mother go out and work on the front lines. Now it's my turn to go hard, stand out and shine. It's my turn to reach my goals and make everyone proud.
