Personal Statement
I am still trying to figure things out exactly about what I would like to do in the medical field, and where I would like to attend college. I am thinking something in the nursing field, physical therapy, or physician assistant. Ultimately, I would like to stay within a few hours of Hayfield, MN. Basketball has been my first love since 5th grade, and I can see myself playing it in college if the opportunity comes my way. I believe that I put my best effort forth in practice everyday, both during the season and in the off-season. My goal that I have set is to be in front of the sprints everyday in practice, be an example for the younger kids by encouraging and working hard, and to have a positive relationship with all of my teammates and coaches. I lift weights anywhere from 5-7 days a week, shoot with my grandpa and dad 3-7 times a week, and run a minimum of 10 miles a week. Beyond basketball, I am involved in volleyball and softball. I like to be involved in as many extra curricular activities as possible as I am a leader of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a student council representative, a member of National Honor Society, a member of Students Against Destructive Decisions, in concert choir and HVL Honor Choir, a leader in STARS (Students teaching against refusal skills), and the 2017 Miss Hey Days Queen of Hayfield. I am looking forward to the 2017-2018 basketball season, and can't wait to play the sport I love every single day!
