Personal Statement
Ultimately, my academic goal in college is to study sports management. Ultimately, I would like to continue my basketball career as a college coach where I can be involved in coaching and recruiting. Athletically, it has been my dream to play basketball at the collegiate level. I live and have grown up on a cattle and hog farm and know what it takes to work for a goal and never give up until its finished. I practice every day, outside, rain or shine, hot or cold. I play after my chores are done until my hands are numb in the winter or until the ball is too wet to handle. I shoot jump shots around the barn while I'm waiting for the hay to come off the trailer so I can stack it. Raising livestock has taught me the concept of seeing the job through to the end, no matter the sacrifice. I play hard every play and never take a possession off. I have also been raised to respect my teachers and coaches and feel that makes me an excellent teammate and leader. I honestly believe that with my attitude, work ethic, and athletic ability, I would make an excellent addition to any team or coach that would give me the chance.
