Throughout my basketball career to date, I have learned countless valuable lessons. Most importantly basketball has taught me how to overcome adversity, fulfill the role of a leader, achieve goals both on and off the court and how to be the best teammate I can. Basketball has molded me into the determined, hard-working, and confident person I am today. I have been fortunate enough to play for excellent coaches, and with great teammates.
My freshman year I was a multisport athlete including, basketball, track and softball; in which I lettered varsity in all three. The transition from middle school to high school athletics allowed me to increase the pace of my playing style, I am looking forward to a similar transition into college athletics. My sophomore year proved to be the most challenging, I am thankful for the lessons I learned. The basketball program got a new, first year, coach this year. Our new coach often looked to us for advice and ideas, allowing me to begin to step up as a team leader. My junior year there were no seniors allowing us juniors to lead the team. I am looking forward to continue my role as a leader and team player throughout my senior year.
My awards include making the KMZU All Star Team as well as All Team Player in 2016.
