Personal Statement
I am a three sport athlete; volleyball, basketball, and softball. Having played three sports in high school and at the AAU level for most of my life I have learned something from each of them that helps me in Basketball. In volleyball, I play a middle blocker and in softball I am a pitcher. These main positions have helped me become a leader and I know how to handle pressure. Basketball is my favorite because I still get the butterfly feeling in my stomach before games, along with the excitement during the games and that builds on my love for the game. Also, being able to showcase my talent in front of a crowd and hearing their cheers gets my adrenaline going. Playing a main position in three sports for most of my career, I have learned a lot about myself. I've learned how to push through adversity, give my best effort at all times, and stay mentally tough when things don't always go your way. Athletically, I bring a presence out on the floor that most people don't have. I am a threat at all times because of being able to shoot, drive, and pass. I can play all 5 positions and guard all 5 positions. In the classroom, I carry a 3.75 GPA and have been on honor roll every year. I have also made Academic All-State in all three of my sports all semesters. I am hard working on and off the court and am able to stay focused so that I can put work into sports as well. I would be a good candidate for your team because I have a strong work ethic, am all about team success, and am highly competitive. My collegiate goals are to play at a high level and bring my competitive ability to the team to be able to have a winning record. Finding a college that fits my academics, major, and basketball competitive level is what I desire.
