My collegiate goal is to obtain my psychology degree while playing basketball. Basketball has been my passion since I was 5 years old. I work hard at everything I do both academically and in sport. I have a never give up never quit attitude. I always strive to be the best, be it in my class or in practice/game situation. I am a motivator, I am able to pick up a teammate when they are down with positive encouragement. What sets me apart from others and would make me an asset to any team is my positive attitude. I may get upset but you'll never know it, I smile through the toughest situations knowing that they are only going to make me a stronger person, better student and unstoppable player. During my playing career I have had highs and lows, injuries and faced many tough challenges but have always come out a better person for those experiences. I played in the 2020 division finals with my high school team and despite a broken hand right hand I led my team in points, rebounds and assists. Unfortunately we lost the game however the commentators remarked how I was smilling when I picked up my game MVP award. I was just happy to be there and to have been able to contribute to my team. This injury forced me to practice with my left hand and as a result I am a nightmare to cover as coaches sometimes tell there players I'm left handed. I am able to shot and dribble effectively with either hand now. What you see is what you get with me I am a genuine person who enjoys learning, playing basketball and being there for others. I feel that Basketball and my goal of a psychology majorwill allow me to continue having fun and helping others.
