I have been playing Basketball since I was in 3rd grade. I have never been accepted to play on my High School's Varsity or Junior Varsity teams due to some health obstacles, however, I believe I should be given a chance in college basketball, as I feel I have improved my skills over the years. I participated in my school's COED Unified Basketball team. I started trying out for school teams in 7th grade and stopped in 9th grade. I was never given advice on what I could do better. There would only be a list of names of who made the team, which, as a young middle schooler, really upset me when I never saw my name. As I get older, I have started to realize that I don't need a list to tell me if I'm a talented athlete. As I mentioned, I started playing on the Unified team which has no tryouts and includes everyone and I started improving more and more in each season.
