Basketball has always been a passion of mine, a passion that began when I was seven years old. Ever since I stepped onto the court, I fell in love with the game. Basketball has given me the drive and hunger to succeed, the competitive attitude I now have as an adolescent, and blessed me with many opportunities. Watching college players, such as Kayla McBride, gave me the confidence that I could possibly be wearing a college uniform in my near future, while playing the game I have always loved.
Academics are my top priority. When it comes to school, my main focus is on achieving the highest GPA I can get. Straight “A’s” are what I strive for and if it means spending multiple hours hitting the books to achieve that, I will. I am a student athlete that has the drive, determination, and teamwork that makes a coachable player. I volunteer as a camp counselor at local city basketball camps and I have participated in a club through my middle school called "Club Phenomenon," in which you give back to your community voluntarily.
I have the speed and the shooting form needed for being a strong shooting guard. Although I am short, my determination and effort makes up for the missing inches. Anywhere along the three-point line is my hot spot and I look forward to improving on attacking the basket and my overall technique as a player.
My main goal in life is to make not only myself, but my parents proud. Hard work always pays off and it’s getting to that time where that theory is coming to reality. I am open to all colleges that will fit my interests and provide me with the environment that focuses on having a successful life.
