Hi,
My name is Lauren Quintana. I am a junior 5'7" guard at Espanola Valley High School. This past season, our record was 24-4. We were regular season and District Champions; however, we lost our 1st round state game.
During the season, we played in 4 tournaments. I was 1st Team All-Tournament in all 4 and was MVP in 2 of them. I was also voted MVP of the District.
Our coach, Ron Drake, says I have the ability to play at the college level. For the last 4 years we have attended the team camp at the University of North Carolina and I attended the Nike Blue Chip Shoot-out in Philadelphia, PA.
I really want to play basketball in college, and I know I can do a good job. I can shoot, have long range, drive to the basket, and play solid defense. I am very quick and I get a lot of steals. I am very dedicated during the season, and I work very hard in the off season. I have never missed a practice or a game in the 3 years I have been on varsity. I just love playing and learning the game.
During the off season, I play on an AAU Team, work on skills, play in tournaments, and I go to team camps. I work on shooting on a daily basis. In my high school career I have scored 928 points and we do film our games.
