My name is Alexa Chavez. I am 17 years old and I am a senior at St. Michaels High School. I am 6 feet tall and weigh 170 pounds. I have been playing basketball since I was 4 years old. During my junior year basketball season, I received high point player for both the Capitol City and St. Michaels tournaments. I also received All District and 1st team All State for the season. I was named basketball player of the year for my school. As a team captain my senior season I was a very good leader. I lead my team by working hard and by encouraging my teammates to do the same. I am constantly trying to improve my game by attending camps and playing in tournaments when I am not in season. I know that in order to continue playing basketball in college I first have to have the grades to succeed. I take my academics very seriously. I have been on the honor roll every semester since my 9th grade year and currently have a cumulative GPA of 3.3, a 22 ACT score and I have registered with the NCAA clearing house. I am open to many types of schools no matter what the division. Currently, my favorite subject in school is Science. I hope to major in Forensic Science. My athletic goals are to continue to improve my game so I can play college basketball. I want to be healthy, active, and a team player who can contribute to my team and help them succeed.
