At the age of 11, I took interest into Basketball. I tried out for the co-ed team and I made it that was a huge accomplishment. Since I was the only girl, I quit the team and started Track and Field. That built up my stamina and my mindset. That mindset was to always win, and I if do lose to lose with dignity. I'll always thank my coaches for the 2 years I ran Track for always believing in me. I transferred from my Charter Middle School to a Public School closer to my house. Every time in gym I would always pick up and basketball and put up extra shots. When the summertime came I was always in the park, playing pick up games with my cousin, and I was never afraid of the bigger size people. I always took in the paint, scored, and shot wide open 3's when I had the chance. The people in the park always told me to never stop grinding and believe in myself, and I'll come a long way. When people started telling me I'm nice and one of the best girls in my neighborhood, I looked at myself and said " I can be the next star in WNBA." Every morning I woke up at 8 am, I'll go outside work on my dribbling, then I'll make my way down to the park. I can tell my hardworking mindset paid off in Highschool. I tried out for the Girls Basketball Team, went there as an underdog. Few days after tryouts I saw my name on the roster. I thought as a Freshman, I'll be coming off the bench, well I second guessed that. First game of the Season I was the starting point guard #4. We had a home court advantage, I put on a show for my school dropped 10 points, 3 rebounds 6 assist, and 3 steals. We had a great season, we made it to the playoffs but lost in the first round. I was proud we lost with heart because we all walked out as a team knowing that we played our hearts out. Now that's all for myself, but the journey is just beginning. Now welcome to Tiarah Brown: The New Process
