Aaliyah Shook '23 Recruiting Profile

Overall, i’ve always loved school, but found a particular liking and interest in science, specifically biology. I‘ve wanted nothing but to incorporate my interests with the concept of helping people, which is why I plan on majoring in biology or pre-medicine in college. I am often referred to as a perfectionist, as I will work at something nonstop until I grasp it, whether that be academically or athletically. I am very willing to branch out and consider myself open-minded. I have no problem being the conversation starter and often find myself doing just that.  In school, through various clubs, as well as my high school team, i’ve taken a leadership role, whether that be class president all four years of high school or team captain on my high school basketball and softball team. I value my logical thinking, outgoing personality, and work ethic. My family is everything to me. Without their support, in everything I do, I honestly have no idea what i’d be doing.
