My name is Allyson Freiermuth. I am a 5’11”, 170lb junior who attends Holland Patent High School. I hold a fairly high average and participate in honor classes and National Honor Society. In my high school career I have started and played 3years of varsity basketball. I’m very universal; I have experience at playing all the positions. I prefer 3 and 4 that is where I am most comfortable. I love the game; therefore I work hard to improve. When being coached I do what I’m told to the best of my ability. I’m also always open to feedback from coaches.
As a freshman I was leading scorer on varsity. As a sophomore I was leading scorer and MVP, I was also a tri-valley 1st team all-star. This past season I averaged about 14.4ppg. 11rpg. 2.5apg, and had a free throw percentage over 65%. This past summer I had the opportunity to play with Rachel Coffey and Iasia Hemmingway from Syracuse University. This was during the King of Kings summer league in Utica, NY. It was a great experience, I enjoyed it!
To all teams I am a part of I give full commitment, all in no matter what. Also I enjoy working hard and giving it my all every time I’m on the court and in the classroom, I like to succeed there too. My reason for working hard is to be the best I can be, also so I am able to continue what I love doing. Many people don’t understand what this game provides. It is a life changing experience; the game, a team, or a coach. It allows relationships to form, from those, you become powerful and have the ability to accomplish and overcome tasks as a team. Basketball to me is more than a game it’s a lifestyle and in this lifestyle, you have to do whatever it takes. I like to use the quote “If you couldn’t play tomorrow, would you play harder today?” it’s a reminder to not have any regrets.
Looking in to the future, I plan on continuing to play basketball at whichever school I attend. Although, I am still undecided about which major I would like to pursue, I am interested in enviromental/soil sciences or natural resources management. nbsp;. I hope to become part of a team and play at the highest level I am capable of.
