Personal Statement

My name is Chloé Fequiere. I am currently a senior at the Marymount School of New York. I have been playing basketball since the third grade and enjoy playing the sport. I am also a 3-season athlete and I participate in a variety of activities outside of school. I am a shooting guard and a forward,  however I can play multiple positions. I am a great candidate for any team because I am a team player, coachable, professional, and punctual. I loved to be challenged and I would do anything to help my team win.  I take my academics very seriously as well as sports. In college, I aspire to get my education first and I intend to grow as an individual. I am looking for an athletic program that can challenge me and make me a better athlete. My long term aspiration is to become an orthopedic surgeon. Basketball is my passion; however, I would love to be in a position to help others as well. I have a desire to learn and research about sports medicine and trauma so I can look for new improved treatments to help my patients. I also hope to have a professional career in the future. Being a quick learner, I bring a lot to a team! I am a leader amongst my peers as well as team captain. I'm very selfless and put my team before myself so that my team as a whole is successful. I am well rounded individual and I play several instruments such as the piano and the drums. I also sing in my school's chorus and I volunteer with several organizations. I would also like to associate myself with new people from different backgrounds.
