Personal Statement
Sports, mainly basketball, is my passion, I cant go a day without dribbling a basketball or even going to the field to bat and catch. But one thing that interests me the most outside of sports would be writing, whether writing in a journal, or just writing down things that i've heard throughout the day that really spoke to me. I push myself past my limit when it comes to sports, I always want my coaches to know that I am trying my hardest and that they will receive quality results when giving me tasks. My main goal is to make it to the WNBA in the future, and I will keep my head high. Some people say i’m too short but I’ll brush it off because they don’t know the work i’m putting in to prove myself right. I am my basketball teams captain and I go to the gym everyday and keep my head high to show the other girls how they are supposed to be working to get better and how they can learn from an upperclassman who has been through 2 years of highschool basketball. I don’t mind having to be the leader, because I know with the girls under my wing would learn a lot and together we can all be great and get into the playoffs.
When it comes to school, I personally try my best as though there can be rough patches at times. Over the past few years I have been pushing myself and slowly progressing to be the best academic version of myself yet. I have a rising GPA that is currently at 82.25 and is in no sign of slowing down. When I get to college I would either want to major in creative writing, sports management or sports medicine. My dreams towards school is to try my hardest and become the academic weapon that I can become.
