Personal Statement
My name is Becky Jewett and I am a 5'8" guard from Nyack, New York and I am graduating in the 2019 class. I am a hardworking basketball player. I have been a varsity player since tenth grade and I have played basketball since third grade.
Knowing that I have the capability to play basketball in college pushes me to become better every practice. I do this by pushing myself and my teammates to work harder. I can promise to a team to never give up and always try harder. I am the first that gets onto the court and the last to leave it.
When it comes to finding schools that are a good fit for me, I am mainly looking for schools on the East Coast, but I am open to looking anywhere. My hope is to find a college that I can achieve both academically as well as athletically. My top choice of a major right now is Athletic Training, and finding a school with that major, as well as a fit for basketball is important to me.
My athletic goals are to continue playing basketball at a high, competitive level. Another goal of mine is to make an impact on the team I am on, make a difference, and try my hardest. That is what would make me happy.
