My mother has always been struggling for ways to support our family since my father left. I play sports, I'm determined to play college ball but I had to limit myself to certain opportunities because I know I can't ask her to contribute to my college education. During the summer I worked two jobs just to help her make ends meet. It's definitely not easy to go to school, work and play sports but I try to manage just so she won't continue to work. Even though college is expensive, knowing my mother she would force herself to work more hours to see us achieve something but that's not fair. At first, I played basketball for my brothers I'll be carrying on my brother's legacy, that silver lining I know they never got to see. As I continued to grow, I realized I was really chasing my dreams. I don't know where I'll be without basketball.
