Javelyn Lewis '21 Recruiting Profile

    I believe in trying my hardest and my best in everything I do both academically and athletically.  What makes me a good candidate for any team is my passion for the game. I've been playing basketball since I was five years old.  Out of all the sports I've played soccer, gymnastics and softball,   basketball has stuck with me because it was love at first sight. I also grew to love it even more and so did my passion. 

    My collegiate goals and aspirations are to become the best player I can possibly be on and off the court. I always want to be a positive leader for my teammates and also be the best player for my coaches. Unfortunately, I'm coming off of an ACL tear last season. I'm determined more than ever to play harder now. The injury has definitely made me a better basketball player and has changed my whole mindset. Basketball has made my drive today stronger. I go to the gym early in the mornings to improve my basketball skills and my game overall. I strive to do my best during practice, workouts and even at school.
