Personal Statement
I’m a student first then athlete. I take challenging courses to push myself the same in the class, as on the court. I study hard and maintain a high GPA.
I have always aspired to play at the collegiate level. I have been playing basketball since I was six years old. Playing in college is a goal that I have always had because it's a once in a lifetime opportunity. I put effort in everything I do inside the classroom and the court.
I believe that I’m a good candidate for any team because; I'm coachable, not afraid to step out of my comfort zone, soft hands, a high basketball IQ, and strong ball handling skills for a player my size. I’m a team leader and make a point of leading by example. The team success is more important than induvial stats.
My aspirations are to learn and gain more leadership skills, performance skills and vital life skills. I'm determined to improve and strive every day to get better then I was the day before. I put my all into practice just like in a game.
I want to attend a college so I can push myself in the classroom and on the basketball court. I want to ultimately find the right college match at the highest level of competition possible.
I also volunteer at local Red Cross and currently a member of girl scouts and student body government.
