Shannon Hunter '19 Recruiting Profile

I am a person who views my  team as my family. I am always there for my teammates inside and outside of practice. I have played basketball for years. My passion for basketball was cultivated from a young age. I played with my 3 older brothers and they never took it easy on me despite their size and age difference, which taught me to persevere after being repeatedly knocked down and taught me determination though hardship. These values have followed me throughout my basketball career and continue to define me. I refuse to give up and always give 100%. I readily accept feedback and consistently ask questions so that I can improve my game. Academically, I receive nearly all A's with only a couple B's. I know that as a student athlete that school comes first. So, if I ever have any academic issues, which I do not foresee, I know I will need to contact the coach and let them know.  I hope to push my basketball career forward in order to pursue my dream of going to the WNBA and playing on the Olympic Basketball Team. I have big dreams and hopes, and I'm looking for a school to take my all the way.
