Personal Statement

I am a 5'8 shooting guard from Lincolnton NC, and I will graduate in the class of 2011. I have been involved in AAU for about 3 years now, and I was nominated for the All-Tournament team during our National Tournament in the summer of 2008. This summer our team (Lady phoenix South) will be going showcase as we widen our opportunities for exposure.

I am looking for a college with a low teacher-to-student ratio. I am interested in a college with a great reputation for academics, as well as an outstanding basketball program. I would like to pursue a university with a great academic reputation for Nursing, and Sport Management. I live in North Carolina, but I am open for more opportunity when it comes to the better basketball competition outside of the state. Ideally, I would like to earn a full ride scholarship to play basketball at the collegiate level (preferably Division 1), and make an immediate impact on the team.
