Mickeal Rhaney '11 Recruiting Profile

I am a versatile athlete that understands and loves the game of basketball. Coaches have been able to play me at multiple positions (strong forward, small forward, guard and center) with great success. Unfortunately, due to re-locations associated with my mom's job I have had to transition to three different high school, with different coaches, with totally different philosophies. Although continuous transitioning has been disruptive in my pursuit to college ball, it has been a plus in the mental strength and understanding of the game. I have also excelled in track (59" 400m, 26.7" 200m & 13.2 100m) while maintaining a excellent GPA. Like any competitive student-athlete I strive to play and run track at the highest level but I'm really open to all levels and opportunities knowing that a scholarship will be a huge need for my family,as I pursue a career/degree in Education/Business. My mom, as a single parent, has been very supportive despite many challenges and obstacles. I am currently residing with my grandparents as my mom prepares for yet another job transition. It would be awesome if I could assist my mom with college funding with a scholarship. That would a phenomeon way to give back to her. My pride is my work ethics on and off the court, I am always looking for a chance to improve. I beleive in giving 100%, 100% of the time.
