Hi, my name is Tajza Eddings, I live in henderson, neavda, class of 2018 at basic academy of international studies
What I think makes me different from other players or what I think truly makes me a stand out player is my mindset, something I've learned in my years as a basketball student is you have to have unbreakable mental toughness if you want to be the Michael Jordan's and the Maya Moore's of the game.
The mindset in my opinion is one of the most underrated tools that a person has in their tool box because most people don't realize that what you mind can perceive and accept you're body can also, this is why everyday before I train I always say to myself " its all in your head" even during intense training I try to mentally coach myself and say things like " this isn't anything", " you've done this before", " Michael Jordan wouldn't give up so you can't give up". My mindset is one of the most important tools that I possess and it will continue to be that's why I like to consider myself a mental player because not only does the mind bring toughness but the confidence with in that.
Some other things are my work ethic, my willingness and the fact that I never think this is owed to me because this is what I'm choosing to do, so I am willing to work in the heat, I'm willing to work in my garage and I am willing to give up sleep and work before school if that means betterment, I even work early saturday morning's because basketball mean alot to me and I want this bad.
I'm also a really fun person, I'm goofy but also calm and I like to make others smile and these personality traits help me as a basketball player because as a point guard or shooting guard its my job to keep my team focused and out of distress on and off the court and by doing so in a calm, friendly, and funny way it brings them out of their heads which also helps me to get my points or messages across which in turn may help them play better.
In conclusion to everything I've said, I know there are many things that I need to work on and get better at as a student athlete but I am a sacrifice player and will work for it.
Thank you for you're time and welcome to the Taj Mahal.
