My name is Carly Perusek and I am a sophmore at Hawken School in Gates Mills, Ohio. I am 5'8" and growing. I have large feet, large hands and a wingspan to match. Basketball has been my passion from wearing pink shorts on the court when I was 5 to dominating defense and offense on varsity my freshman year. Watching film, using The Gun(shooting machine), and asking my dad for pointers makes up my Sunday nights. I am competitive and driven from within as evidence by my 4.06 GPA. I qualified for state as a freshmen for cross country and placed 55th in the state. I enjoy playing travel fastpitch in the summers. I am mean on the court but soft in my heart when volunteering at soup kitchens and babysitting for young kids. Over the summer, I attended an elite shootout with top players in the Pennsylvania and Ohio area and was named MVP in one of the games I played. I can't wait for this summer to attend more shootouts and prospect camps to find the perfect match both in the classroom and on the court. My philosophy is that there is no I in team and we all need each other. I am a teammate who likes to find chemistry and build teammates up. If someone were to watch me play, that person would not know if we were up 20 or down 20 because I play every play like it is my last.
